CarePortal is a unique platform connecting churches to real-time needs of foster and kinship (relative caregiver) families in San Diego County. When a social worker identifies a need, the request goes out on CarePortal, where churches can respond by providing items like beds, car seats, or groceries. By engaging with CarePortal, your church can bring hope to families in crisis and share Christ's love in a hands-on, practical way.

Care Communities
Care Communities are volunteer teams of 4-6 adults who come alongside a foster or kinship family for a few weeks or months, offering emotional support, meals, help with transportation, and more. By creating a Care Community, your church members can provide consistent support and build relationships that truly impact these families, who often feel isolated and overwhelmed. With training and guidance from Restoration225, your congregation will be equipped to wrap families in love and stability.
Partnering with R225 and their network of churches has absolutely changed the game for us and our ability to do ministry. I now never have to worry about our kids going without their basic needs. R225 not only delivers support, but they care for the parents emotionally and build relationships.

Care Connections
Through Care Connections, your church can establish and maintain a Care Closet stocked with new and gently used items like clothes, diapers, and mattresses. Care Connections also enables your church to host diaper drives, holiday giving campaigns, and other community-focused events that meet urgent needs. These are opportunities to show Christ's love in practical ways while engaging volunteers of all ages in meaningful service.

Thank you for the great help you offered us by providing a new mattress and quilt for my son’s bed. He is so happy to finally sleep comfortably, as before we had to share a bed, which was very uncomfortable. Thanks to God and the people who donate and volunteer their time, families like ours are able to receive what we need.
