Conference 2021
Join us on October 9, 2021, from 9:30-11:30am at Bethel Church in Escondido for an amazing day of fellowship and encouragement with Jason Weber. Come learn what God is doing and how you can help serve families in the foster care system in San Diego County. Learn how God is using churches, local agencies and Restoration225 to bring help and hope across our county.
Our guest speaker Jason Weber, National Director of Foster Care Initiatives for the Christian Alliance for Orphans (CAFO) will be sharing how the church is an integral part of supporting vulnerable families in the San Diego area. Come find a fresh perspective on how to engage the church in ways that will create and strengthen community within the body of Christ. RSVP today! Click HERE.

On a Quest to Help Families…
Throughout the month of August, Quest Church in El Cajon collected backpacks, paper, pencils, hand sanitizer and more. Through generous donations of their congregation, local foster youth and local low-income schools in the east county were able to go to school equipped for a great 2021-2022 school year. One teen commented “I’ve never had this many school supplies before. I’ve always had to improvise.” If your church would like to do a month long Restore Hope Drive to collect items for local foster or kinship families or incoming refugees, click here!
Did you know that San Diego County has a Family Urgent Response System (FURS)? Anyone can call or text 1-833-939-FURS for 24/7 assistance. FURS will provide current and former foster youth (up to age 21) and their caregivers with immediate, trauma informed support by caring and trained professionals when they need it. FURS is intended to: prevent placement disruptions and preserve relationships, reduce the need for 911 calls or law enforcement involvement, reduce hospitalizations and placement into congregate care, promote healing as a family, provide a safe and judgement free space for youth and caregivers.
