Golden State Stimulus

On February 23, 2021, Governor Gavin Newsom signed a legislative relief package that authorized the Golden State Stimulus to assist California households that are considered “low income.” Families that did not receive federal relief, as well as families with incomes below $30,000 are eligible to receive a one-time $600 relief payment. Golden State Stimulus payments are available to households with ITINs and incomes below

$75,000 and ITIN taxpayers with incomes below $30,000 who also qualify for the California Earned Income Tax Credit would receive a total of $1,200. The payments will be provided to these households shortly after they file their 2020 tax return. Claimed dependents do not qualify to receive this stimulus.
